□ Personality:

Saix as a whole is very calm, serene, and centered. Of the members of the Organization, he is by far the most Nobody-like next to Xemnas, often not even pretending at emotion. He is a very responsible person, meticulous, and loyal. Despite not being one of the founding six of the Organization, Saix quickly made his way up the ranks to being Xemnas’s second in command. His loyalty, however, was for the most part a charade. Saix has ulterior motives that he will stop at nothing to achieve. As we found out in Days, his dedication to Xemnas was a ruse; he had his own plan with Axel to cut through the people in the Organization that got in their way and do away with Xemnas to take Kingdom Hearts for their own. It was only after Axel went rogue that Saix sided with Xemnas, as it was the best remaining option open to him. The bottom line was that he wanted his heart, and even if the means weren’t his preferred method, he could change his plans and adapt where necessary.

As a Nobody, he has no heart, and desires to regain his more than anything. His motivation, his drive, all comes from that desire. As such, it was easy for him to have Axel go to Castle Oblivion and eliminate not just traitors to the Organization, but anyone he thought was too loyal to Xemnas and would just get in their way, like Zexion. It’s speculated that his fierce determination to regain his heart is because he is aware that he is one of Xehanort’s chosen vessels and he wants his own heart back before it’s too late and he is taken over by someone else’s.

The few times he seems to show even shades of emotion are when it seems Axel is drifting away from him. Axel and Saix were the best of friends in their previous life and it upsets him when Axel makes friends with Roxas and Xion, protects them, forges the closest thing a Nobody can have to a relationship. It’s difficult to say whether Saix is upset by this because it looks as though Axel will abandon their plan, or if it’s jealousy -- he sees his friend leaving him behind, and it irritates him to the point where he doesn’t even refer to Xion by name or even “her” but as “the puppet” or “it”. As Xion really is nothing more than a creation, he doesn’t bother giving her any sort of station as a person, and a part of him likely enjoys the way that upsets Axel, feeling spiteful toward him for abandoning all that they’d worked so hard for. He is someone who will use anyone and anything to achieve his goals.

When Saix’s calm exterior breaks, it is often to display cruelty, such as when Saix made Sora beg him to take him to where Kairi was being held and after Sora did beg, he refused. If he could feel amusement, he certainly would have felt it in that moment. Later, when the artificial Kingdom Hearts the Organization was creating was nearly complete and Saix asked Xemnas if they could, “end this charade,” to which Xemnas agreed, he responded with, “Oh, how I’ve waited to hear that.” with a devious smile on his face. The glee he showed from finally getting permission to kill Sora and get him out of the way truly showed how ruthless and cruel he’d become.

While in Berserk mode, his disposition completely changes. Saix goes from soft-spoken and calm to loud, violent, intimidating, screaming things such as, “All you love will be lost to you!”

□ Appearance:

Saix is fair-skinned with yellow eyes and long blue hair that’s swept back and styled into spikes at the top. He is always seen in his Organization XIII uniform; a long black hooded coat, black pants and boots. Between his eyes is an X-shaped scar, its origins unknown, though it’s likely a Recusant’s Sigil. His ears are pointed and he wears a single stud in each one.

When in Berserker mode, Saix’s hair becomes more bristled, his scar grows larger and more jagged, and his eyes go completely yellow. His features in general become more exaggerated and wild, sharp teeth growing longer and his posture even changes, truly fitting the description of a berserker.

□ Abilities/Powers:

Saix is a Nobody, a creature of darkness, and as such is able to summon both lesser Nobodies like Dusks and Heartless. He is also shown being able to open dark Corridors to transport him between worlds, or to different areas within the same world.

His most notable power is when he goes into Berserker mode. Absorbing energy from the moon, his perpetual calm is shattered and he becomes far more animalistic. His weapon is a large Claymore, which he uses with a terrifying strength, swinging or even throwing its heavy weight with ease, leaving blue flames in its wake, and slamming it into the ground to produce devastating shockwaves for high damage. His attacks in this form are absolutely relentless. The Claymore itself has a white aura that serves as extra blades, aiding his attacks.

□ Personal Items: Saix has no personal items other than the Organization clothing on his back and his Claymore.

[The feed opens to the night sky, visible through a closed window, Saix’s reflection slightly visible, but translucent on its surface.]

… this is the first time in a long time I’ve looked upon the moon and haven’t felt its power. For a Nobody, feeling emotion is impossible… but does this now mean my other senses are being dulled as well? Has it truly been so long since I’ve lost my heart, that even this now is lost to me?

[His voice is calm, faintly questioning, as he muses aloud to himself.] I already know this place suppresses what power we have. If I could feel hope, I would hope that is the reason why I don’t feel that same stirring inside of me, where my heart is supposed to be, as I gaze upward. To be both without a heart and powerless…

Is this what it is to feel… useless, I wonder? I can’t remember what that feeling was like anymore.
